Olive is single-handedly my best and best-loved colour. I wear it 12 months a year and have it in every category right now with the exception of footwear. That remains a HEWI. (at the price I am willing to pay, anyways). Today's ensemble was a slam-dunk for me, and I was really pleased with the end result. My first plan was to wear an olive bomber with the pants and blouse, but it didn't look quite elegant enough for the work appt I had today (it was an inexpensive rayon bomber, and just not "nice" enough ) , and it also lacked "punch". Felt kind of washed out - which is also due to my hair colour right now.....

When I was rifling through my closet , this blazer popped right out, and I love how it brightened up the look. I haven't been able to wear this jacket (or the pants) for a couple of seasons (even a couple of years?) so was extra happy that I am back into some of my favourite older pieces. The jacket is at least 6 or 7 years old, as are the pants....a true testament to the lasting power of good clothes. I feel lucky to have both in my closet. (keeping in mind that we Canadians have to pay a heck of a lot more $ for American brands - like the pants- than you Americans do ) . Anyways , economic lecture aside, I really felt great in this outfit today, and am excited to see what else I can do with this jacket until the snow flies. I came into a surprise $ bonus today too, so treated myself to a gorgeous , heavy hand, drapey olive green grandpa cardigan (no buttons) and an equally beautiful polished wool army green fringed blanket scarf. I can wear the cardigan with this blouse, and the scarf will work over black leather jackets, and many of my blazers. Yay for olive green!! And if you've come across really amazing olive green suede boots, please let me know!!

Any feedback and comments welcome - and the back view of the jacket is included to show the black tuxedo striping on the jacket .
