WIW 9/13: Sleeveless Week, Day 4 -- it doesn't just happen!

Sometimes you have to fight for an outfit, you know? I had planned a different jacket and skirt to go with this sleeveless top, but then I wasn't quite feeling it so I switched to the black skirt and apple green jacket, and then I swear I tried every. single. bag. in my closet, along with several pair of shoes, before I felt like I could leave the house. In the end I was reasonably happy with it, though!

Just look at kitty on the pillow there, probably thinking WHEN will this woman figure it OUT, already?!

This is a really interesting and original pairing! It is fall like but also still summery (as befits your weather) and somehow has a retro late 40s/ 50s feel to me, despite the neon. Not the style, I mean, but the colours. Fun!

I had a few days like that this week, with me leaving the house yelling to my husband.... "Don't mind the mess on the bed, I'll fix it when I get home.....!"

Your outfit was worth all of the effort, though! It's a total winner. The button detail on the waistline of the skirt is to die for!

I would say this look was well worth the fight. The blouse is a fantastic print and the green blazer and shoes just tie everything together so well.

Yep, some days are more work than others but you totally pulled off this outfit MaryK! I love the green and black together and how the handbag pulls out the red tones in the top. I love that skirt BTW - have we seen that before? Your gams look spectacular!

Isn't sleeveless great for mornings like this? Bet you worked up quite a sweat trying so many items on... running back and forth from closet to mirror...
