WIW 9/10: Orchid and black and more white after Labor Day

The forecast is for triple digits here today so I am proudly wearing my nice cool white linen blazer to beat the heat!

I've been absent from the forum for a day or two because of big doin's on the house front. Yesterday I finally went back to The Former Marital Residence and collected my furniture and the rest of my belongings. Most of the furniture is stowed in the garage because the house is still under construction, but the dining room furniture is in place and I was also very pleased to be able to horse trade some things for a set of patio furniture that had been given to Mr. K in the settlement!

The dining room furniture is kind of 80s-tastic, but we will be painting and reupholstering it in a couple of weeks and I'm excited to see how it turns out. Photo 3 is my dining room inspiration pic! (As it is, I think the RAM board on the floor ties in nicely with the bare studs where we knocked down the wall! LOL)

It's so hard to dress crisply in hot weather, and you have done it beautifully. I like the spunky look of the Doc Marten saddle shoes with this outfit. I would kind of like the see the pants a little longer, to scrunch a little on top of the shoe. But they do look JLE (just long enough) to me.
