WIW 8/8: Mint and blue and white

Today I am wearing all favorite pieces and I couldn't be happier with how nicely they play together!

Watercolor print skirt: Halogen
Mint shirt: Jones New York
Navy blazer: GAP
White patent pumps: Jessica Simpson
White satchel: Banana Republic
White watch: Oniss

And an elastic ponytail holder around my wrist to remind myself not to complain, per Lyn D's very thought-provoking thread here! I've been down in the dumps lately and I hope putting the kibosh on expressing negativity will help lift my spirits!

Ok so I should like this, it is harmonizing and pleasing to the eye...BUT it the exact color combination my very staid and proper country club going grandmother used to wear. So, I just can't. Ignore me and carry on.

Gorgeous watercolors here. While I do agree that complaining too much just let's one wallow in self pity, sometimes it is helpful to complain to get it off the ol' chest. I am quick to complain (or vent) and try to also be quick to forget too! It's the dwelling that wears a person down over time.

Love the color palette and the freshness of the floral. Have you considered a belt at the waist? For some reason, I like the added structure that a a belt can provide, particularly with a button down. It's terrific the way it is.....just a thought.

I deal with a period of negativity by setting a timer and complaining as much as possible --- constant stream, until the timer goes off. Then I'm done. It's kind of quirky, but I find that I always start in a torrent, and then struggle to fill the time right before the buzzer. It's kind of a purge, and it helps me become more willing to let go of all the poison before I start to build up steam.

I can see why you're happy. The mint shirt and navy blazer are perfect with the printed skirt, and the white accessories bring the whole outfit to a new level.
