WIW 8/5: Olive and denim and leopard and look! The boxes are gone!

Hubby is working all weekend so I had a very productive day. Went to the gym, the hair salon (hence the poufy blow-out), the nail salon, and most important I returned almost $1,100 worth of NAS "misses" and got that big stack of boxes off the ottoman in my Woman Cave! Yay!!

Olive shorts: swap
Sleeveless denim shirt: GAP via swap
Leopard cardi: JC Penney
Multi/leather belt: Target
Sandals: Crossroads, ca. 1995
Faux straw tote: GAP

I felt great because in the parking lot of the nail salon, a passing woman stopped me and said "great sweater!" Big fun! What do you all think?

I can relate about the boxes! I was horrified the other day when I took back an embarrassing amount of stuff that didn't work. But now we can use our living room again, with the boxes all gone!

Beautiful! I love how the brown in the sweater plays off of the chestnut sandals, and the denim shirt looks VERY blue next to the brown.

Great outfit! LOVE that denim shirt - I need to thrift one! The earthy colors of the sweater and the shorts really speak to me. It must have felt good to get those returns out of the way. Forget a monkey on the back - returns on the ottoman really nag at a person... not that I know from experience or anything.

Rae, no kidding about the "returns on the ottoman sumdrp,e!" I always dread going back, and it's always a breeze. I have a Nordstrom Rack literally less than a mile from my house, and since I found out I can return regular Nordstrom purchases there, life has been much simpler! And I have it all down, to the point where the cashier yesterday said, "I love it that you're so organized!" because I had all the receipts matched up with all the items!

Great casual outfit. Doesn't it feel so good to do returns? I know it's not free money but it's still like getting a prize when you return. And thanks for reminding me to wear my button down cardigans open sometimes. I've been wearing mine buttoned up all summer lately.

I hear you on the returns. I always bring a huge box of returns to Nordstrom (including all of my NAS purchases--the only think I kept was a loungewear top and yoga pants), and I can sense the internal cringing the SA's must feel when they see me walk in. It feels so good to get rid of the not-quite-fab stuff though, doesn't it?

I love this outfit! It is not red-white-and-blue but I do love the very *American* (pause) vibe of it.

Speaking of which - have you seen the recent Tommy Hilfiger campaigns? They are delightfully boho prep and the photos and styling are skillful, making this brand look way cooler than it does when hanging on the Macy's racks.
