WIW 8/25 First day back and total technology fail

So today was the first day back with full staff. This is the outfit Angie suggested I go with.
Column of black
White eyelet jacket
because it was all black and white are wore my neon pink classes as a statement piece and went with taupe shoes to bookend my hair instead of red shoes.
I think it worked.

Some funnies from the day
1. When I went to pick up my coffee they were - Oh your staff is back today - you are dressed for work and have make-up on. (I don't wear make up all summer due to the only person seeing me is my secretary and AP - it is a nice break.) I told them I will take that as a complement
2. Good think I felt like I knocked it out the park with my outfit. a. Wireless mic failed, b. complete technology fail. We were off site because staff (100 plus teachers) is to large for any meeting spaces in building. My new superintendent is present and executive director of teaching and learning were present in the back.
This is were being neurotic in meeting planning pays off. I had brought along three easel's and chart paper. I impromptu drew out my power point slides and presented While sketching my slides out. Apparently i impressed the socks off of everyone, and they couldn't tell I was having a major freak out in my head.

Good for you for keeping your cool. It can be very hard when you are in front of a group and your toys don't cooperate.
Nice outfit. The jacket is lovely and looks like it has nice texture. Great specs too. I love a hit of color with B&W.

That's an amazing come-back from a technology fail, aside form being prepared you obviously knew you material and aren't one of those people who have to read every word of each slide as if you are also seeing it for the first time.

I'm constantly amazed at how much more confidently I can handle these situations when I feel that what I am wearing looks pulled together, fits and flatters - and your outfit certainly fulfills those criteria and much more.
I hope you sported a well-deserved huge smile after that day

This is a great combo on you because the shape of the jacket perfectly fits your torso while ending at a narrow part. the brightness lights up your face and balances you. The slight waist gives you shape without overemphasizing your pretty pear shape.

Looking this good...no wonder no one saw you sweat.

Everyone thank you so much for the kinds words. The outfit did help.

Oh and I always have easels when I present because I don't like powerpoint and sometimes you have a point that needs to stay beyond the slide it was presented on - so you write that point on an easel so the audience has an anchoring point as you continue with your presentation.

Also third and fourth points of reference are critical in presentation. Most people only go with 1 and 2 (one being the speaker - 2 being the powerpoint)
