WIW 7/2 and 7/3: Bright jackets and neutral pants

1/2. I am continuing to enjoy having my orange-jacket wardrobe hole filled at last! Yesterday I combined it with gray wide-leg trousers and a favorite print blouse.

Orange linen blazer: Olivia Moon
Wide leg pants: YLF swap
Print top: Veronica M
Orange pumps: Seychelles
White satchel: Banana Republic

3/4. I always like to dress in red, white and blue as a nod to Independence Day, so here is my restrained-for-me version for work today.

Red blazer: H&M
Navy polka-dot blouse: Lauren by Ralph Lauren (consignment, altered)
Navy ankle pants: Banana Republic
White/navy pumps: Seychelles

I like these colors together, but I wonder whether this fitted and shortish blazer and top are looking a little dated at this point? Angie? What do you think?

So fabulous!! You pull off orange magnificently. I so love it paired with both combinations. The shoes in #1 and #2 really pull it all together. And, well, I just lvoe black and white paired with a bright, so that hit my sugar eye

Ah. No. Short tailored blazer does not look dated at all. Shrunken does - but not tailored.

Red blazer is good. I really like that outfit.
I'm a little concerned about the fit of the grey pants in the crotch. However it could just be your stance.

Anna, I saw the fit issue in the pics, too. Will have to take a good hard look next time I want to wear them.

Glad to hear there is still love for the red blazer. That's one of those "fast fashion" super inexpensive purchases that has been a real wardrobe workhorse. I think this is its third summer and it's still going strong!

Personally I think for a day off you could wear the red blazer with boyfriend jeans. Like that Band of Outsiders pic you copied. Especially if the jeans are really faded.

The wide leg pants look fabulous with the orange blazer and white bag and the cut of the blouse is so feminine. I might copy #4 with black... to me it looks a bit 50ish in a good retro way.
