WIW 7/19: Got those post-swap blues!

Yes, ladies! It's more goodies from last weekend's YLF swap!! It's super hot here today so I went with something a little less suit-like than usual.

Blue floral skirt: Old Navy via swap
Blue sleeveless sweater: Talbots via consignment
Gray appliqued cardi: Anthropologie via swap
Black tote: swap
Gray patent pumps: Madden Girl
White watch: Oniss

Do you think this is still office-appropriate, or am I pushing it too far?

It's always fun to see you in a slightly more casual and playful style. I like it! I would also love the skirt and top with a white denim jacket. I think depending on what you have going on in the office that day this works!

It lives! I am surprised that skirt hasn't fallen down around your ankles, you are so tiny. It looks great on you, but maybe a blazer would make it feel more office-y? I like the blue sweater with it though. You have the perfect color. The cardi is really cool, but the combo of sweater, cardi and soft skirt adds up to a more casual (but not wrong!) look IMO.

Claire! Is this your skirt? FUN!! (Or should I say, PHUN!) It's a tiny bit roomy in the waist, but with the (fairly substantial) sweater tucked in, it works! I love it! And I love how the yellow flower on the skirt echoes the yellow pinwheel in the cardi.

I am just hanging out in my office alone today with nobody looking at me, so I feel like it's okay to dress for the weather.

OMG! How do you do it MaryK????? I never thought of putting that skirt with the Anthro cardi! (That cardi was mine by the way - but I could never get it to work for me - it just always felt wrong - but you've got it figured out perfectly.) I think that since you are in your office by yourself today that this is perfect! Love it!

That skirt with a white button down would look so Angie BUT with the cardi it is unmistakably Mary K.

This outfit would raise a few eyebrows at my place of work but financiers are not known for their sense of style.

Marley, I wondered whether this fab cardi came from you! FUN!! I didn't think of putting it with the blue skirt at first, but as I was unpacking my loot the two pieces snuggled up together and didn't want to be separated, and who was I to get in the way of true love?

So cute, now I will always picture your pieces "snuggling"! You must shop in outfits all of the time because your outfits always look so well-planned. Since you're just having a desk day, I think this is perfectly appropriate office attire.

While I love all the individual pieces I'm not completely sure of the sweater with it, maybe with a lighter tee under? I'm a wimp when it comes to mixing though.
