WIW 7/18: A near miss ETA slight tweak and another one

I'm feeling like this outfit isn't quite what it could be but I couldn't quite get it to sing. Any suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated!

White pencil skirt: Halogen
Yellow silk blouse: Anthropologie via eBay
White belt: thifted
Teal cardi: Halogen
Yellow/tan pumps: Seychelles
Tan tote: Merona
White watch: Oniss

ETA tied the pussy bow differently to show the belt. A little better, I think. But honestly, maybe it's time to let this blouse go. I loved it when I got it but the neckline is a little problematic and I can see what you mean about the sleeves being a little overwhelming.

Isn't it funny how we can fall out of love with pieces in our closets?

ETA 2: Changed out the shoes and yes, that's better. Going back to work after lunch at home, so this is it for the day! But keep those suggestions coming!

It sings to me...but maybe blue pumps might make to sing to you more or an unexpected printed shoe?

I think the tie in front of the belt obscures the view, is too relaxed maybe...

I like it better with the cardi. I think the sleeves look overwhelming. I think tucked in to the skirt too? I see what Rachy says about the tie.

yes, I agree with rachy. The tie confuses the eye.

Going to give this a try: Perhaps your white Classiques Entier topper instead of the blue and then a fab purse in that blue instead.

Or, perhaps bookend the blue with similar color shoes.

Still, you look terrific, so no need to change anything!

I do think that perhaps the belt is competing a bit with the tie on the blouse. What about tucking the blouse in or leaving it untucked, but not belted? although that may be too casual looking for your work.

What would your navy/gold Seychelles pumps look like with this? I know the blue wouldn't match your topper, but it might "go"?

I personally love #1 but that may just be my love for minimalism coming out. I do think it looks better with the the bow tied up higher. I think that color yellow looks really great on you.

I have a huge problem with that neckline. Specifically that sliver of skin showing between the tie and rest of the blouse. It just looks off to me.
Colors are nice. Blue shoes helped immensely.

Yeah, Anna, the neckline bugs me, too. I'm thinking I need to break up with this blouse! LOL

I like the final version just fine. The blue shoes sing!

Oh dear, I prefer the nude shoes! In every shot the colors and shapes are lovely, as always. I'm not fan of the sleeves, although they could be altered --- also the top part of the tie could be afixed to the neckline with a simple handstich --- I need to do it with one of mine! Sometimes my willingness to alter or not tells me how much I'm enjoying a garment. No harm in passing it on, although I love the print and color on you!

I think I'd like it best as worn in 2 but without the belt or a belt closer to the color of the blouse so that it doesn't fight with the tie for attention. I like the nude shoes.

Umm, I've always been of the opinion that you don't need to belt the blouse but you know I'm super vanilla. I do like both versions. Gorgeous as usual.
