WIW 7/15: Tan and gray and a pop of red

I'm feeling neutral these days so I busted out the tan and gray today. You can't see it very well in the photo, but the jacket has a stripe that i always thought was navy, but now I'm thinking it's almost the same dark gray as the blouse. Big fun!

Oh you do neutrals just as fab as you do colors. Love the stripe with the blouse (I'm a sucker for those subtle matchy/matchy details).

Love this outfit! I don't have a lot of summer neutrals. For whatever reason, I wear them a lot more in the winter months.

Love! And yes, my neutrals love this summer is so strong that I wonder whether I'll love my colors again come winter. I suspect that I'm countering the whether with my clothes - while it was dull and gray and snowy outside, I needed color. Now that it's bright and full of color, white and gray are my favorites.

Great use of neutrals with your coloring.
I am on a neutral bandwagon for now, too. Mostly to try to get some focus wardrobe essentials in better neutrals.
I love tan and gray but am aiming for a cooler color palette, aiming for more of cool browns + grays if I can find the right pieces that are still interesting and have enough contrast/texture, and then add some color accents. Trying to put black in a less prominent place, but it's hard.

Don't you love that your jacket's stripe matches your blouse? That kind of thing makes me strangely happy, lol! I love me some neutrals too, and this is the first time I've worn them all through the summer. They totally work in the summertime, too!

I'm loving the combo of camel/tan with gray lately, and I think it will be great for fall, too!

I agree with unfrumped, the tan looks great with your coloring. Nice outfit! For neutrals this summer I am loving black, white, and navy/ink. For the first time in many years I am not busting out the tan, taupe, or tobacco for summer. And though I love gray, I've painlessly left it behind with winter (I'll definitely come back to it).

Your neutrals are light and summery and they look wonderful on you. The tan pieces would also look great with white I think.

I'm with you and Parsley. I'm feeling drawn to neutrals and the grey/tan combination feels like an epiphany. All this time I've avoided gray, thinking it was best on people with cool coloring. But put it with tan and I simply adore it AND it works on me too. Thrill!. I liked seeing your take on it.

The neutral tones are very elegant and the red accent elevates the whole look as does the blouse. So lady like.
