WIW 6/6: ink top - considering getting another color

Yesterday 6/6 I spent most of the day unpacking from a long weekend away and doing stuff around the house. Then I changed into this to go to a rehearsal. I'm really liking this ink top, I have worn it several times since buying it recently. I thought I might be a little too warm the but the top is loose and flowy so it actually seems to encourage "air flow".

- ink top
- old CK straight leg jeans rolled (similar below)
- tan sofft gladiator sandals (also old)
- cognac tote
- the two longer pendants made from charms from my grandmother's gold charm bracelet (each charm has a cool story)

Now I'm thinking about the duplication question...I really like this top and it comes in blush, a darker rose, red, olive, pale grey, beige, and black. Any suggestions on how I consider whether to get another color?

I think this top looks great on you and if you are reaching for it frequently you may want to duplicate the same color. For a second color option, pick your favorite color. For me, I would pick the cloud or red as a second option. I can't make out the tone of the olive but if it wasn't too yellow I might consider that as well.

Chris - I adore the look you've put together. The top is a fantastic length and the chiffon hem adds a touchy of whimsy to the look. The layered necklaces are fab as well. If you think you will be reaching for this top frequently, duplicate in the same color. Also as Colette said, if there is a 2nd color that you would enjoy, snap it up as well.

Chris, this is really flattering! LOVE the top on you. The necklaces are also beautiful. The entire outfit is one of your best yet!

If you are thinking of duplicating, decide how you would make outfits with another colour -- don't simply pick the colour you'd like most, but consider also will it be high or low contrast to your bottoms and which type of look do you prefer. Cloud might be nice with white bottoms, for example.

Yes, it looks fab on you. Do you like the lighters colors? I would say go with something outside of your comfort zone.

Ledonna thanks, and I am in fact considering a lighter color....definitely in the mood for going outside my comfort zone these days. Maybe I'll get a wolf puppet to ride around with me....

Chris, you look so good in this outfit. Just the right amount of structure, fab proportions and beautifully accessorised. You would definitely get some use from another top like that. As usual, Suz's advice is on point re colours.

great top...I saw it in the finds earlier --if it was long sleeve instead of 3/4 I would have gotten it in a heartbeat. I'd say if you love it, get it in another color....what color tops do you fid yourself wearing most often?

Love the hem of that top and it looks really nice on you. I have a problem with duplicates, just don't wear them as much as I think I will. But if I were to duplicate that, I would go with a totally different color like one of the brighter ones.

This is such a great fit in you; duplicating would be worth it IMO. All those colors would be good. They sound subtle, an idea I like.

Looking good! I particularly love the layered charm necklaces - so personal and unique. I agree that the top is worth repeating - it's a good cut for you. Suzy's colour advice seems right to me.

delurked it's from Macys, the brand is Style & Co and the item is called "petite chiffon-hem three-quarter-sleeve Top". If you are looking for regular sizes do similar search and just take out the word "petite"

I just checked and there seems to be a 20% off sale ending today....at least for this item..
