WIW 6/30 and 7/1: Dress and white belt x 2

This is pretty much the same outfit, two days in a row.

1. Monday black and white version. (Sorry about the photobombing by my laptop in the foreground!)

White pumps: bandolino
Black clutch with shoulder strap: Topshop

2. Tuesday Technicolor version.

Dress: Veronica M
Belt: thrifted
White blazer: Olivia Moon
Purple satchel: Dooney & Bourke
White pumps: Bandolino (changed from the purple Jessica Simpsons after taking the first photo)

I'm starting to wonder whether this dress is a tad too short. Your thoughts?

What about dress 2 styled more casually - like with Birkenstocks? Maybe it won't feel as short to you that way.

I like pil's idea of dress 2 - loose, without the belt and with Birks. Don't you have silver? (Of course this would be for a more casual event, like market day or shopping a street of boutiques on a sunny weekend.)

I don't think dress #2 is too short, and I'm usually very sensitive about the "too short" issue, and I get more sensitive with each passing year

I really like #1, but of course, I am just drawn to black and white!

I like #2 as styled, but I could also see it with a bit more relaxed vibe as Pil notes. And the white accents really amp it up, especially with the purple purse.

I love both, and I don't think that dress is too short at all on you. It would be fun to see it styled without belt and with sandals, for a casual variation. You are looking particularly lovely and svelte these days!

The pink dress has an elastic waist under the belt, so even without the belt it wouldn't be "loose." But good idea to dress it down for the weekend with the silver Birks!

Runcarla, when I first bought this purse, I did indeed carry it every day! (Because purple croc is a neutral, right?) It was the "every single day" purse I was carrying when I found YLF and became a Bag Lady! LOL

Both dresses are fab. The awesome flared sleeves of dress #2 seem to somehow balance out the shorter length. How is dress #2 when you sit? Does it have enough hem to let out?

I'm wearing my turquoise magic dress with flats - it is about the same length on me as that second dress on you, and I think the flats keep it more tame. It didn't used to feel short but hemlines have changed! You look so trim and pretty!

You look terrific in a shirt dress! I love #1 as much as #2, which is not too short on you. I think Angie's right that the flare helps, particularly when sitting, since a flared skirt won't ride up.

You look great. I am quite picky about short skirts or shorts and I don't feel that the dress is too short. You have very nice legs and it doesn't seem like you are showing to much.

I love how the color/pattern changes the entire outfit. I get a very mod feel from dress 2 that is so fun. And if you're comfortable sitting down in it, I wouldn't worry about the length!
