I'll be away Fri - Sun and not sure I'll be able to post again til next week. Here's four days' worth of capsule dressing.

1 - Gingham top and linen pants. I've actually put on the sunhat almost everyday, but I forget to snap pics with it on. Ditto bags.

2 - skirt and graphic tee, plus linen blazer. This was worn for a trip to the DMV (blech).

3 - black/white breton plus cinnamon crops. The shoes didn't stay on for long. We went to the pond so I switched to Chacos for most of the day. Then I cut DS's hair in the afternoon, and changed to #4 afterwards -- same graphic tee as the other day, plus linen pants.

5 - today I pulled on the linen pants again, plus my favorite thrifted oxford shirt. Will definitely need the sunhat when we go out -- the weather is gorgeous, but not too hot!

I love #5, it's the kind of dishevelled but chic, tomboy look I always fall for.
Also love #3, great proportions and colours, and well, you can't go wrong with a breton top.

Thanks all! I love #3 too, I'll wear it again on a day when my plans are more urban and don't involve wading, so I can keep the shoes on. I hemmed and hawed about keeping them, since they're at the upper end of my price range, but they're comfortable and the black/white combo is so versatile for me, so I think they're keepers.

Hoping to sit down and add Finds for my 30 at some point next week...

These are all great looks, LaP. You are building a very cohesive look - there is plenty of variety, yet definitely a common style thread running through them all.
Is that gingham top the one you cut the ruffles off? I give you a lot of credit for seeing the potential in that piece. It is really great as you have simplified it!

Sal -- I cut my hair in April but didn't get around to posting about it. It's actually due for a bit of a trim (at least the sides and back)!

Ryce -- yes, this is the formerly ruffled shirt. I was very taken with the idea of a cute gingham in muddy/grunge-era colors so it came home with me. I wore it out precisely one time with the ruffled collar but it was just so wrong on me. Glad I didn't give up on the shirt altogether.

Skylurker -- disheveled-but-chic-tomboy is my favorite too. I find it's the best way to handle mud, dog paws, sticky kids' hands, etc.

First , I love the short hair on you. It just seems right. Then more love for #3, although I like all your outfits. Second favorite would be #1. Fab idea to remove the ruffles and use the murky plaid. Your sun hat is adorable and a great example of a hat style that works well with short hair

As Angie says, #3 is killer fantastic. The shoes really add that slightly unexpected feminine touch along with the neckline. Love it on you. I also adore your graphic tee! So clever.

I had trouble picking a favorite!!!!

I decided my favorites were numbers 1, 3 and 4.

First off, I am a pant lover and you were so cute (some might find that an insult, I mean it as a complement) in Number 1. That gingham shirt fit you perfectly and was unexpected, making the entire outfit interesting. The addition of a hat was just perfect.

Number 3. I adore stripes. Nothing more to say. But I will. I love that top with the red pants. Again, interesting. You are add unexpected elements to make outfits worthy of second and third glances. That is a very special talent.

Number 4. Colors and proportions just speak to my eye. Everything was perfect. Ok. I think Number 4 was my over all favorite for the reasons I just cited.

Thanks all! I've been wearing gear pretty much all weekend (doing some camping/hiking, and borrowing a friend's canoe for a test paddle). Looking forward to making more outfits this week. Maybe I should've done a 20x20 and excluded the weekends.

I'll try to write better responses to you all when I'm back home this evening.
