Black silk slouchy top, black suede shorts, peep toe combat boots, Theysken's Theory flame patterned cross body.
Is this photo any better than my previous ones. My dad gave me his old camera which is a newer version for me.
Denise mentioned in another thread that she liked to see gear photos. On Dad's camera I found some photos on the memory card of a trip we took to the Washington coast and Hoh rainforest two years ago. I'm not sure why I'm raising my hands in the air like I just don't care in the last photo.

I quite like the top and shorts together - and oh my, that flame purse is an amazing piece!

The clarity and color balance of the image look like an improvement. What kind of camera did your dad give you?

I'm longing to go hike in the Hoh Rainforest - I haven't been there since I was a kid!

That outfit in #1 Anna is divine on you! Love the Theory cross body against the black and the peep toe combat boots are soooooo cool.

I'm giggling at your "hands up" photo - it's like you're saying "I'm this tall compared to these trees"!

It's a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH20. I like their lenses, they're by Leica. Also this camera is VERY easy to use. Not too many complicated menus. My dad had an Olympus camera that was highly recommended by Consumer Reports. But I noticed that when we were in Iceland, all the snow scenes on his camera came out dark. My old little Lumix had great white balance. I think Costco sells the current version of this Lumix.

Oh, I love that middle photo, with the yellow jacket and your foot on the yellow object.

There's a move we do in Zumba to Indian songs, where our legs are kind of bouncing and we have our hands up in the air and it's kind of like we're screwing in lightbulbs. . . that's what the third photo looks like to me! I've got an Bollywood soundtrack in my head looking at that one. (I'm sure some Indian YLF'ers know the correct name of that move.)

And you are so cool in the first photo.

It's a move from Punjabi bhangra dance, Alicat --- don't think the 'move' itself has a name, being a folk style (we reserve the special names for classical dance mudras, ie hand gestures, and postures :-D) --- but the 'screwing in lightbulb' description is spot on!

Anna, LOVE the way your all-black highlights the flames! And what a way to do summertime black --- very very cool.

Love this outfit! The peep toe combat boots are so cool and I really like them with the shorts and silk blouse. The bag is really cool too.

The photo does look clearer to me.

The composition of the second photo is stunning with the yellow jacket and the yellow ball, your stance, the reflection, and the moody watery grey background. It looks like you're walking on the water! Your dad has a really good eye.

Yay! This is an amazing outfit! Has to be one of my favorites on YLF ever. I am always excited when I see an Anna WIW. I like this because all of the pieces are unexpected (unusual cut of blouse, leather bottoms and shorts vs. a skirt or pants, lace up sandals, etc.) yet the whole outfit still feels minimal due to the all black scheme. I agree with the others -- fabulous bag too.

And thanks for the gear pictures, I want to be there now, we have close to 100 weather and everything is brown already.

... And since my camera (Canon PHD = push here dummy) is on its last leg I'm going to check out that Lumix at Costco! The screen no longer shows an image, you have to look through the viewfinder.

or the one with a 20x zoom which costs around $100 more. I'm not sure I need the 20x zoom. What do you think, is this your camera?

I love to see your "gear pics", too, Anna, not so much for the gear, but because you and I share a love of hiking and being outdoors, and your pics remind me of my years on the west coast. You outfit is rockin', and the touch of flame is perfect.

Denise, that camera is better than the one my Dad gave me. Mine only has 8X optical zoom and that one has 10x.
What I really want is one of these

Thank you for posting your gear as well - it looks pretty fab on you, I must say. Pic 2 is so pretty with the two yellows and the gray-ish landscape.
