WIW 6/16, 6/17, 6/18: The Work Formula

My dad's health situation has continued to be quite unstable this week so I haven't had much time for posting or paying much attention to my clothes. Thank goodness for my tried-and-true pencil skirt/blazer/pumps formula! Nothing in any of these outfits is new, but I felt reasonably put together during a busy few days!

1. Tan pencil skirt: Halogen

Navy linen blouse: consignment
White/navy/bronze pumps: Seychelles

2. BW print pencil skirt: Halogen
Striped top: Lands End
White linen blazer: Olivia Moon
BW tote: Steve Madden
Red pumps: Jessica Simpson
Pendant: H&M

3. Red pencil skirt: Halogen
Leopard blouse: J Crew via consignment
Tan linen blazer: Olivia Moon
Brown belt: Target
Colorblock tote: Vince Camuto
Brown pumps: Jessica Simpson

I just realized that the skirts, linen blazers, and pointy-toe pumps are all duplicates in different colors. It really helps to have the same pieces in different colors to make getting dressed easy in the morning!

I love all 3 looks so much that I'm having a hard time choosing my favourite! After careful consideration, I'm going to go with #2. The pattern mixing is beyond fabulous, and looks absolutely divine on you.

Your tried-and-true formula really really works for you. Don't you love it when you know you can deal with family stress without worrying about looking polished for work? I think your look is classic and refined without being boring, and you have a great eye for details.

Your outfits always inspire me to do more mixing. My favorite is 2. I ordered a couple of those Lands End tops, one the blue stripe and one plain white. I am loving how cool and comfortable they are for summer, yet covered. Thank you for looking so polished in your rash guard.
