I am trying to wear all my orphans and every winter dress or skirt in August.
This dress gets pulled out regularly. Being made of a thick ponte it is comfortable. I tend to wear it most in spring and autumn with a jacket over the top, sometimes with tights and sometimes bare legs. It is too warm for summer months here.
It was a very cold start to the day but now it is sunny crisp and clear. I had two meetings in the office, then working from home, and then running around with boys etc.
I decided today to wear a merino polo neck underneath, black shiny leggings and my more refined black ankle boots. I usually wear tight rather than leggings but I felt leggings would be warmer as I could wear cosy socks. I think this is the first time I have worn the dress this way although I have considered it before.
I tend not to wear a lot of 60s shapes, except for early 60s fitted dresses. Whilst this one is not strictly of the era, to me the high neck, and graphic monochomatic print hint at this period of time.
I am not 100% sure about this look, but it was a fun way to wear four pieces that are all 3-5 years old in a new way.
I welcome comments and feedback, and whether you think it works or not.
