WIW 5/5: Return of winter with new leopard shirt

I have been looking for months and months for the perfect leopard shirt, and I finally found it at the consignment store this week for just $20! Yay! After several days of summery weather, it's cold and windy today so I popped my cream sweater over it and was very happy with the result.

Leopard shirt: J Crew via consignment
Ivory sweater: H&M
Ombre burgundy jeans: Jolt
Booties: Bronx
Espresso tote: Elliott Lucca

Do you think I look too wintery? Or do you think it's okay to dress for the weather regardless of the calendar? I always appreciate your input!

Score 1 for MK and no animals were harmed in the process. Love it and I think the cream sweater and burgundy jeans are an excellent choice with it. I've been after something similar and am still on the hunt for the perfect print. I can't see your booties too well. What color are they?

i love the layering.

I've been wearing cable knit sweaters around the house. With the crazy weather this year I think anything goes.

Vicki, the booties are my beloved espresso-colored Bronx booties from a couple of seasons ago. The more beat up they get, the more I love 'em!

You look great in this combo. I have the JCrew perfect leopard shirt and it is so soft, lightweight and comfortable. Thanks for reminding me to pair it with some spring tone pants and perhaps trying it with my white jeans. Love that tote with it, too. So put together.

I think this totally works... dress the weather! I love the texture play with the bag hardware, leopard print and chunky cableknit.

What a beautiful colour combination - leopard, ivory and burgundy - just *fab* if you ask me!

Personally, I think white or cream colours always lighten everything up, no matter what the season.

YLF! The ,expand pattern is perfect, and I don't think you look too wintery. The color palette helps keep it rooted in cold spring instead of winter.

I dress for the weather, in particular for the light. So some colours on a cold bright day and different ones on a cold dull day.

Looks great to me! Not too wintry - the white sweater looks like spring. IMO it looks best to be comfortable and "aware" of the season. Not frozen and cranky and enslaved to the season.

Dress for the weather by all means! I love those ombre jeans with the perfect leopard shirt peeking out from under the cable sweater. I think the light color of the sweater keeps it balanced. You look like early spring to me.
