WIW 5/5: Leopard satin pants! Oh my! ETA what I actually wore

I have been lusting after some silky patterned pants, but I am shopping my closet and I figured if I were meant to have silky patterned pants, they would magically appear.

And guess what? They did, in a bag of hand-me-downs from my BFF! Yay!! I paired them with my Target chambray shirt, denim vest from a swap, my new Vince Camuto colorblock bag, and my go-to nude Seychelles shooties.

Kitty thinks it's purrfect. What do you all think? Do you think I'll scare the old folks when I visit my parents today?

ETA: Before we left the house it became clear that the pants were just too darned long and even the Hollywood Fashion Tape wasn't doing the job to keep them from dragging the ground. So I quickly changed out the pants to my mustard skinnies and changed my shoes to the MIz Mooz heeled oxfords and swapped out the bag for my Brahmin leopard/croc bag. So no worries about scaring the old folks! LOL

I love the pants. I'm not sure I like them with the tops. Maybe some color? I also think you should consider making them slimmer an maybe ankle length I also love your bag!!

Kitty is oddly attracted to you but doesn't understand why. Of course kitty is above overthinking things, things just "are" in the cat world.

So I'm with the cat, I like this look! I think the pants work as is, but Dana's idea of tapering them would make the more modern.

Ok, I read satin leopard pants and thought pajama bottoms, but these are great! The slimmer leg and denim toppers are fab. Magic BFF Bag FTW!

I have to smile when I see you in these photos. You make what is in my mind "unworkable" work beautifully! I do think tapering the pants would be nice. I love the bonus of Kitty!

I'm smiling looking at this outfit MaryK - it's got a very definite 70's vibe to it, which I kinda like. I also like the idea of tapering the legs at the bottom a bit - if you're interested in that option, you could always pin one and post to see how it looks.

MaryK I love these. I wouldn't change a thing about the pants as I love the 70's vibe. I think the denim shirt and vest really tones down the pants and creates a very cool and stylish look. I think you actually have quite a few styling options with these pants. Love them.
