WIW 5/3: Blues with a pop of yellow

Our weather was warm on Friday so I brought out one of my favorite lightweight cotton pencil skirts. I really like the yellow pumps with this!

Watercolor print skirt: Halogen
Navy blazer: GAP
Mint shirt: Nine West
Yellow pumps: Madden Girl
Cobalt satchel: B Makowsky

Do you think the cobalt bag and navy blazer are fighting with each other? A yellow bag seemed too predictable but maybe I should have succumbed to the matchyness! I always appreciate your thoughts! (Sorry for the blurry second photo -- didn't notice that until it was too late!)

Oh I love it !! I love "toning" so , of course, I think that the blue bag looks great with the navy. I have also become a fan of cobalt blue and turquoise with navy. It is such a fresh and happy combo, IMO.

I read somewhere that using tones and different saturations of the same color is considered a monochromatic look, I am not sure that I agree. But when one looks at the color wheel, the same color as it changes out into other colors ( if you know ) what I mean, it just so pretty to wear together. ( Holy Cow, what has happened to me ???? Did I just use the term "color wheel" ? )

I LIKE the cobalt bag. I think it gives some depth and interest. And those yellow pumps are perfect here.

You look stunning! Cobalt not fighting with navy, although the yellow bag would have worked too. The navy bag choice is more sophisticated.

You have an amazing wardrobe! Just looking so springy here...I would probably have gone with a lighter bag but the cobalt doesn't look off...just a personal preference.

Love the colbalt bag with the other blues in the outfit. I think the yellow bag would be too predictable - and this way, the punch of color comes strictly from your feet (which I like!) That skirt is gorgeous - and I think all of the colors in this outfit look great together!

Either purse works - the blue gives the outfit more of a tonal effect and the yellow would have popped with the shoes. You can't go wrong either way.

LOVE that skirt - it's one of my favourite MaryK pieces.

I love that skirt! So gorgeous! Personally,I think a yellow bag might look really nice, but then i Like high contrast.

MK I do think there's a colour war going on here. My gut reaction is to go for a green bag and I acknowledge I'm nuts to say that when you're wearing yellow shoes.
But the reason I thought/felt "green" is due to your lovely little Monet skirt.
