WIW 5/3 and 5/4: RATE hair for the weekend

1. My Marine is here for the weekend and yesterday we went to the theatre so I got to dress up a little. I've had this dress for a while but I feel like the reptile print is still fairly current.

"Snake" dress: Veronica M
Black belt: don't remember
Black sandal booties: Payless
Black quilted clutch: Topshop

I left my hair curly for the first time since I got it cut, and I was happy with how it turned out. DS liked it, too, he spontaneously told me, "You look very fab today!" as we were having our post-show dinner!

2. Today we're going to the movies and I'm busting out several new-for-this-summer pieces. LOVE these silver Birks! And I think the new white boyfriends are going to see a lot of wear this summer.

And the hair? It's even more RATE on the second day, but I'm embracing it and channeling my inner Una!

As my hair gets longer it becomes really polished on its own - I don't even brush it. The pics from yesterday are with BEDHEAD. Sheesh. Weird...

Yes, loving the toenail display! I went with citron to match the yoke of my striped top, which was not, I fear, an unmitigated success with my skin tone. But still fun to have the tootsies showing.

And I envy you your bedhead. What you see above in photo 2 is my decidedly UN-polished bedhead!

Just looked again and I guess the change is from two different things that play well together: the neckline of the dress and the wavy hair. Your classic look is chic and polished with a blazer and slick hair. The exposed collarbone and curly hair really change the visual effect dramatically! Both are good looks, for sure, just different enough that I got sidetracked analyzing it.
