Starting yesterday, the weather here in MD has finally warmed up to nice temperatures that we typically get this time of the year. We still might get a bit of rain here and there, but overall we should be firmly in the late spring/ early summer temperature ranges.
To take advantage of this, I wore pretty sleeveless blouses both yesterday and today paired with cropped jeans and delicate ankle-strap shoes. For inside the AC-ed lab, I added summery cardigans too.
The first version, worn yesterday, was in navy/white color scheme. It consists of wrap striped BR blouse, cropped dark Rich&Skinny jeans and AT navy ankle strap shoes. I rescued an old tissue thin merino navy cardigan in classic BF shape from the donate bin to wear over the outfit. The jeans used to be full length and I had the tailor hem them. They looked straight to me so I expected the crops to turn out straight too, but they ended up having a little kick at the hem which I quite like - apparently the original jeans had a slight bootcut.
Today's version is in the shades of grey and violet. The sleeveless ruffle tank and ankle strap flats are both from BR and they call the color "neon violet". The jeans are old Paige grey skinnies which I cuffed with a big cuff to achieve the cropped length. The grey AE cardi is the only summer cardigan I own that I actually like- it has cocoon shape and is very airy being made from pointelle knit.
I am curious to know which shape of the cardigan you prefer on me - the classic BF navy one or the more modern grey cocoon version. This information will be used to finally decide on which white cardigan to buy for the summer. Also, do you think the navy cardigan needs updating or I can keep wearing this old one when I have a need of a navy cardigan?
