WIW 5/23: Pinterest copycat with stripes and flowers

I saw this on Pinterest and was totally smitten. My colors are not exactly the same as the inspiration but I think I got the feeling, anyway.

Orange pants: Banana Republic
Striped top: LL Bean
Cognac blazer: Amber Sun
Floral scarf: H&M
Gladiator sandals: Payless
Espresso tote: Elliott Lucca

I am never quite sure whether, in an outfit like this, I look fun and fashion forward or like I got dressed in the dark! But I had fun wearing this today in any event! What do you all think?

I like your colors better than the inspiration--those colors together seem a bit harsh to me, while yours are an unusual but interesting combination. Also, the inspiration model looks like her pants are going to slip down any minute. You look better proportioned, Ms.Mary. (I just had to write that new name.)

I vote fashion forward. Yes the outfit has uncommon color pairings, but they work together and that's what makes this a fashion look to me. It takes a keen fashion eye to put together looks like this, pairing colors so well in combinations that are fun and work. I also like mixing of the stripes and flowers. You have a great eye for creating combinations.
