WIW 5/20: The black midi goes to the office

We're having cooler weather today so I'm taking advantage by wearing my new black midi to work!

Black skirt: Halogen
White shirt: Kirkland (Costco)
Black and white jacket; Kate Spade
Black satchel: Cole Haan
Black and white pumps: T.U.K.

I had a scare this morning because the bathroom drawer in which I keep my (all brand new!) makeup jammed shut and I couldn't get to it! I had to improvise with one bottle of the wrong color foundation, some wrong-color blush, mascara (if it had been in the drawer I would have been sunk), lipstick from my purse, and whatever traces of eyeshadow were lingering on my brushes! Gah! What a morning! Hopefully the maintenance guys will make it here to fix it today!

Anyway, what do you think of this look for work?

I'm humbled, Mary. YES. I would absolutely wear this outfit - with a light blue shirt and cropped white pullover too. Pop the collar, scrunch the sleeves and away I go.

Such a great look! Did you get a petite size? It says reg and petite but I don't see option for that.

Angie, SO FUN!! I saw that outfit and thought "I would TOTALLY wear that!" (Although alas, I had to send the pumps back because they didn't quite fit me. )

Unfrumped, this is the regular size. I decided I liked the extra length. And I had to size up because my usual size was a bit tight in the waist.

*smiling and sobbing*

Why didn't the pumps work?

They were just a tiny bit pinchy in front, and my heel tends to be a little wide for most sling-backs, including these. *sob* My feet are definitely shaped differently from yours!
