WIW 5/17: Midi and stripes for the theatre

Last night my Marine and I went to see "Porgy & Bess" and I got to bust out my new Halogen midi, which was an Angie pick quite some time ago. I love, love love everything about it from the slightly shiny fabric to the way it moves when I walk. And I daresay I may have been the only person in the theatre wearing a swim top!

After the performance they took up a collection for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and I think the red ribbon they gave me for donating was the perfect finishing touch for my outfit!

Such a beautiful skirt, I think you will get a ton of use from it. I love the unexpected combination of a rash guard top and ladylike pumps. IOJ (irregular outfit juxtaposition) at its best.

OMG !! I have the same swim top that I took with me to Hawaii. I also wore it with capris and a jean jacket. LOL. Then I wore it for sun protection at the beach. MY GOD. I have hit Nirvana...I am starting to think like MaryK !!!!! PLOP ! Double PLOP !

Love Porgy and Bess, particularly the duet "Bess, you is my woman now." Bess is a bugger of a role -- I've seen my share of sopranos blow out before the end --- it requires a huge amount of stamina for a "light" opera.
