WIW 5/15: Neutrals for getting my teeth scraped

Today is my semi-annual teeth scraping date. Oh, joy! I am celebrating the occasion with my version of neutrals: Red, leopard, tan, and black!

Leopard shirt: J Crew via consignment
Red blazer: H&M
Tan pencil skirt: Halogen
Black pumps: Madden Girl
Colorblock tote: Vince Camuto

What do you think about the black shoes with this? I thought about red but I still have a hard time with the uber matchyness!! (Oh, and sorry about the second photo! It's earlier than usual and the photo is actually in focus -- it's ME who's ACTUALLY blurry! )

I love this outfit! I think black shoes were the right choice and GWYM about being too matchy matchy. Perfect bag choice, also. Have fun!

You realize that your version of neutral is someone else's version of colorful right??? LOVE IT! I have two favorite combinations with leopard - red and kelly green. This is just beautiful.

And I think the black shoes are perfect as they echo the black in your handbag.

Just so, just so! The red blazer is fab fab. I like the black shoes. Red would have been good too. I see it as sophisticated v. ra-ra. Different, but equally good.

Isabel, "teeth scraping" is "teeth cleaning" taken to a whole new level, with power tools and everything, performed at the office of the periodontist rather than the plain ol' dentist. Consider yourself lucky that it's a foreign concept to you!

MaryK, the leopard print and red looks fantastic together. Black shoes were definitely the way to go, I think red might have bordered on being too matchy.

"Teeth scraping" makes me think of nails on a blackboard... which seeing a dental hygienist is more painful than, because nails on a blackboard is a short, finite aural experience while dental scraping lasts an hour.

However you look pretty and bright and they better not mess with you in an outfit this polished! As in, don't let them over-charge you because you look like a million bucks!
