WIW 5/11: Remixing yesterday's look into a Pinterest copycat

I was so happy with yesterday's look that I decided to repeat the top and necklace with my yellow skinnies, a la this photo from Pinterest with the colors reversed. Wore it to the hair salon, and later I'm going to spend the weekend with my parents at their beach timeshare for Mother's Day!

Blue top: thrifted
Yellow skinnies: hand-me-down from CocoLion

White satchel: Banana Republic
Necklace: Veronica M

Do you think the top with no topper to rein it in is too blousy? I had planned to wear my white denim jacket but it's just too hot today!

No too blousy to my eye, looks perfect to wear with skinnies - neither fitted nor too boxy.

I think with the skinnies you don't need the topper, I preferred it with the pencil skirt though. Happy south of france colors and I lOVE that necklace.

Too blousy? Definitely no but the issue of it being too hot for the third piece is something I really identify with. How DO you make an outfit out of two pieces? Well, in this case, you have the statement necklace for one and secondly the top is fluid and doubtless reflects light in interesting ways as you move.

I'm seriously IN LOVE with this outfit MaryK! I love the colour combo, the blousy top over those hot skinny jeans, the necklace and the pop of white with that fab handbag. I wouldn't change a gosh darned thing with this outfit - it is PERFECTION!
