I was able to budget in a few new items for summer thanks to some awesome sales....

#1 Casual running around outfit. This is the only pair of shorts I own.... lol

This is now my favorite top... I actually went back and bought 2 more.

#2 Snakeskin dress
Dress - White House / Black Market
Snagged this $120.00 dress for $40.00

Skirt & Top - Loft (1/2 off sale)

#5 new dress $25.00
Not sure that it's super flattering, but it's a comfy fit for our hot Houston summer

I really like these casual outfits! You have the casual look down. The only thing I'm not sure about is the last maxi dress. I can see how it would be really comfortable, but the large scale pattern gives me pause. Nice to see you back here! I've missed your outfits.

Love the first 3 - that dress in 2 is great on you, 4 is okay but 5 is not something I think does you justice.

Lovely outfits, great legs and shoes in #1 and the snakeskin dress is fab. I may have to agree with zapotee about the maxi, your height helps you carry it off and again fab red shoes.

I may end up shortening the length on the last dress. A tad longer than the one below. Basically it's the same style / cut.
as is It does make me look rather large.... lol

Good to see you again, Teri! If I remember correctly , you've by SYC, trying to "rightsize" your wardrobe. Glad to see you have a few new items to play with --- I'm a girl who needs variety and a little something new to keep things fresh, too. These items are perfect for hot TX summers. I'm particularly fond of #1 and #3. I find it difficult to do summer casual really well, and you've mastered it here -- new shapes and cuts, but still easy and not too "fashionista."

BTW -- I love seeing YLF members SYC outfits -- don't hesitate to post older items!

Great casual outfits. The maxi dress is quite striking. If you shorten would you keep the band on the bottom. I do think the shorter length would be very flattering.

Wow, I love #3 --- great shape of top, always a refreshing colour combination, beautiful accessories that have something delightfully reminiscent of water about them from their crystalline clarity (so lovely in a hot summer wardrobe), and fab sandals showing of fab legs! Also, the snakeskin dress is awesome!
