WIW 4/3: It doesn't get any more FFBO than this!

Thank goodness for dresses! Easy peasy in a stressful time!

Navy polka-dot dress: vintage
Studded belt: Streets Ahead
White satchel: Banana Republic
Nude pumps: Target
Nude microfishnets: Oroblu

I use the self-belt as a pussy-bow to up the interest factor a little bit. What do you think? Do I look okay, or like I've given up?

It's all in the set of the shoulders :). If a person hasn't given up then their body won't look like they've given up and they can sport any outfit from outre to outdated. I'm a total believer in this.
ETA: paraphrasing William James, Behave as though...

I think you look fab! I love the dress on you, and the nude shoes really elongate the leg line when the hemline of the dress is a bit lower.

May be FFBO, but still looks sensational!

There's a reason we call it FFBO - 'cause it works every.single.time. Nothing about this outfit reads "given up" MaryK. The dress is beautiful on you, in fact one of my favorites and using the self tie belt as a pussy bow is brilliant. Add in your gorgeous accessories - especially that fab handbag - and you've got a polished, professional, stylish, gorgeous outfit.

You look great! This is definitely not a "given up" outfit. Giving up is wearing lounge wear out of the house with Uggs or flip-flops. The dress fits you beautifully and I like how you changed up the belt and used the original belt to add interest to the neckline.

I haven't read the replies but I think you should take to words "given up" out of your vocabulary. You look polished professional and very put together. If someone didn't know you were under a lot of stress they certainly wouldn't guess.
