WIW 4/3: Copycat Week, Day 4 plus a bonus

1/2. It's ridiculously cold here even though the calendar says spring and the forecast says it'll be 88F by Monday! So what better than this super-covered-up Pinterest look? I did take a cue from the original and add seasonally-confused open-toed shoes to keep it from being too wintery.

3/4. Last night DS and I went to the theatre and honestly, I was more concerned with being warm than anything else! So layers and layers of print and sparkles were the order of the day! I think it actually turned out okay and I was toasty and comfy.

You can never go wrong with cobalt and black or cobalt and white. Have you tried cobalt with grey yet?

As always, stunning proportions. As a blonde, I don't like to wear dark tights and boots, but you can and have. So I'm off to think about that.

Ooooh I adore #3, fab pattern and texture and shine mix Is that sequin top those big floppy sequins? I love those, hard to find. #1 looks moody and wintery, the white bag and "pearls" (teehee!) help lighten it up. I like Lisa's idea of gray over the black for a springier look. Hmm I'm also thinking cobalt would be smashing with some of your lighter florals.

Aida, yes, the tank has BIG sequins. I love it! It's been a real workhorse for lo, these three plus years. I was actually really surprised at how much I liked this outfit -- I just kept piling on shiny layers over the white shirt I'd worn to work!

Marmee, I think DS is handsome, too, of course! He said he thought that photo looked like one of those "proof of life" photos where they pose a kidnap victim with today's paper! LOL

I haven't yet met a cobalt that didn't make me happy, and your first outfit is no exception. Hmm...I'm planning to wear a cobalt blouse to church tomorrow. Maybe I'll try to create an outfit with my black pencil skirt and white pearls.

The drama of the sequins in outfit 2 is perfect for the theater. DS looks great in black and cobalt, too, just like his Mom does.
