WIW 4/22: Out to brunch

Hubby and I are having a casual day today and I just threw this on to go to brunch. GAP flared white jeans, black tunic from the Morocco part of Epcot of all places, and Stride Rite black sandals. I'm amused that my seven-year-old tunic seems to be the height of fashion these days -- saw a big layout of similar tunics in this month's People Style Watch! LOL

That's very "in"! I have been scouting for a fun peasant-y tunic for summer and they are all over. I can't the "one" I want but that's another story.
On to the important stuff: YOU wearing any old thing and making it fab. Love the bootcut. I keep seeing on blogs the whole bootcuts are out argument pop up and it makes me crazy. They look good with a strong top - this wouldn't work so well with skinnies in my mind.

Now that's no run-of-the-mill mass produced boho tunic! I guess when you have really fab pieces, they're less likely to date. This is a terrific fresh outfit on you and you look so lovely. Hope you had a nice brunch!

Ok it really is a lovely tunic. However due to the way the sleeves stand out against your arm it makes you look a bit broad on top.

Not crazy, beachy I think I would wear the tunic with skinnies, but maybe I am closed-minded like that. By the way, I have some jeans really similar to those ones but they look so good on you (pretty sure I have seen them in different combos) and not so good on me. Are you wearing flats? I often think you just have some kind of magic powers that bend the dressing universe to your will and things just work on you

Scarlet, you are so funny! When I first got these pants I wore them with heels. But they have shrunk in length for some reason and now I can only wear them with flats (or nearly flats -- these sandals have about a 1/2 inch wedge).

I don't think the issue Anna mentioned would be relevant IRL. It is just how you are standing and a static photo.
