Avant-Guarde outfits are not something I gravitate to on regular basis, but a little light version here and there is something I am willing to give a try. When reading Angie's post this morning, it struck me that I have lots of tops and some shoes that could work, but bottoms were the issue. I have some culottes but I can not wear them at work because of the full length pant requirement. Similar thing for peep-toe booties.
So, I decided to go for drapey jogger type jersey Express pants that are as close to harem pants that I will ever get. I like that the ruched calf can be pulled up for a more flattering look when worn outside and then be pulled down when in the lab lest I get in trouble with lab dress code police. I combined them with a cropped boxy white BR shirt from last year. This shirt was a part of their boxy trendy line that many did not enjoy, but I personally liked the change. I finished the outfit with two tone black burgundy Dolce Vita oxfords and silver R< Satchel as I do not have a patent tote.

I am curious to see how I will feel in this all day as it is not my usual type of outfit.
