WIW 4/1 and 4/2: Copycat week, days 2 and 3

1-3. I love the idea of three mixed black and white patterns in the inspiration pic, and although mine aren't quite as subtle as the original, I think it kind of worked.

Houndstooth pencil skirt: Ellen Tracy

Black and white pumps: T.U.K.
Black quited clutch: Topshop

4-5. This is a favorite color combination and I feel like the white shirt brightens it up nicely for spring. I'm not going to wear a bow tie to work, obviously, so a propos of the "delicate jewelry" blog post the other day I subsituted a cute little necklace that Debbie gave me in the YLF holiday gift exchange a couple of years ago!

Omg the first one is so fab!! I think I might prefer it a little without the jacket as the b/w pattern is so sharp on the skirt and shirt, but it works well both ways.

The mustard, teal and print do work well together and as you pointed out the white shirt keeps it 'light'. But the pattern on pattern? Just brilliant!!! I would never have attempted it, but seeing your interpretation gives me courage to try!

#1 is my favorite but only by a narrow margin. I notice how your b/w shoes really make #1 work. Teal and mustard are one of my favorite combinations and I've got those colors in my closet so am off to copy you.
