WIW 3/7 and 3/8: Ankle pants, sweaters, scarves, and moto jackets.

I am an unrepentent uniform dresser, and this week so far it's been cropped pants, sweaters, scarves, and moto jackets.

1. Monday: Ann Taylor moto jacket, AT Loft sweater, Banana Republic pants, Target scarf, BP booties, Target bag. I am continually tickled at how the sweater and pants are so close to the same color!

2. Tuesday: Same formula but very different colors. T Tahari moto jacket, Eileen Fisher sweater, Banana Republic pants, Jessica Simpson pumps, Coach bag, polka dot scarf from eBay.

So fun that you can do soft sandy tones (#1) AND bold graphic tones (#2). The soft colors in #1 are particularly nice with the pretty curls. And of course I love the print mix in #2, as well as the sort-of-matching-but-not-really olivey yellow shades. Work that formula, lady

Can't decide which one I like best. I'd say your uniform works very well for you. I like the booties in #1 best for footwear, but not suggesting them for #2.

This is so interesting! Two outfits from the very same formula, yet you'd never think " oh she's wearing the same thing again". You really have the proportions figured out for your body - and wear the pieces so well. I quite like the colour mix in the second outfit - mostly because I've never seen olive pumps before !! Why do I not own any ?

I think uniform dressing, when done as well as you do here, is comforting to the people with whom we work. I have to remember that, since I love reinvention and variety --- sometimes I suspect that people just want to know what to expect.

You've taught your coworkers to expect color and elegance, but you keep the silhouettes familiar and classic, with a nod to modern trends. The benefit to you? I imagine that your wardrobe has a high mix 'n match quotient, and it's probably a lot easier to get dressed in the morning!

BTW -- do you leave your scarves on all day? I find them tough to wear in an office, since the air is often too warm or "still."

Both looks are awesome. For #1 how great that you got matching charcoal-y grays, and they work wonderfully with the cognac. I almost might prefer it without the scarf (which does work well) but just to showcase the texture of the jacket.

#2 the olive/citron visible under the polka dot scarf and dark jacket is just great. I could see it also working with white or cream pants.

You are rocking your uniform. I really like the proportions here, especially how perfectly the pants in #1 work with the ankle boots. And you (and a few other YLFers) wear scarves so well I was inspired to dig a couple out from a very long hiatus and start wearing them again.
