On Saturday I ended up going out with friends for an unplanned lunch. It was still pretty chilly but I decided to break out my new Pikolinos with a denim skirt since they were giving me a ride.
This is a new denim skirt I have just picked up at Express, since I have been sitting on a gift card since Christmas. I have a dark denim pencil skirt already which is over 10 years old, but I really wanted something in lighter wash and with updated details (button front) so this one fit the bill. I went for a second version of this ensemble with white silk pussy bow blouse and teal argyle vest. The vest was rescued from the donate pile thanks to this ensemble post. I like tying the bow on these blouses in wrap-around the neck way, somehow it is more me than traditional way with low dangly tie in the front. I finished the outfit with a light blue/grey satchel and short cream wool coat.
I am happy to report that the shoes were extremely comfy to wear and will be my go-to shoes for whenever lots of standing and walking is expected.
