One of the looks I'm trying to develop over (our Australian) winter is short jackets over longer tops. I love my booties - they not only work with everything they lift everything (thanks Angie). Sorry about the hair - I'm having it cut on Friday - it won't do anything I want it to do at the moment.

I love the bookending too! I think your hair looks wonderful. Cream and navy are some of my favorite combos but I really appreciate the details on the jacket and the outfit looks so crisp. I'd love to copy this.

I love that short over long formula and am wearing it today too, although I never managed a photo. The booties really work with the jacket to keep a hair of lighter balance with the navy/black. Am hoping to have time to reflect/respond more on your other post tomorrow, love the analysis there.

That jacket is gorgeous on you! I like the whole outfit, though I wish I could see the details better. What is the top like? I like the short over long, and the straight-leg pants on you, and I agree with others that the python booties are just fab with the cream, navy, and black that you're wearing.

Bootie twin, bootie twin!! This is wonderful on you, Caro. I love the column of colour, the simple shapes, the texture of the jacket, and then the booties picking it up, and the colour.

I love it. Is the top navy? Caro you have such great legs, narrow and skinny pants look amazing on you. I know the look has been around for a while but short blazer over longer top is one of my favourite looks and still looks very modern and up to date to me. I am actually wearing a very similar combo today but in greys and blacks

Firecracker - my photography skills are not great - sorry:) The top is a navy tunic in tee-shirt material with a silk band around the hem.

Love this look Caro. I will be watching your outfits with interest as this is a look I am trying this winter for the first time. Previously I had a poisoned eye for it but have now come round. I bought a black cropped jacket at Target about a month ago, just need the weather to cool down enough to wear it ...

Ooh, the top is even better than I imagined--it sounds so soft and Iovely. No worries about the photography--keep up the posts, as they are a treat. It's hard to make out details on dark items even on professional photos.
