Today we finally had some sun and warmer temperatures. so I decided to to use this rare opportunity and wear a skirt (!) and bare legs(!). We had a snow storm earlier in the week and some snow is predicted for next Tuesday as well. I am honestly sick of this weather and can not wait for the proper spring.
The skirt is fairly old, though I feel that it is quite on trend as I have seen lots of similar ones on websites like net-a-porter. I apologize for the wrinkles, I took the photos after I got back home from running bunch of errands. It lacks a few inches to be considered a true midi, but it will do for now. I am planning on purchasing a true midi later in the season, but I have lots of requirements: fun pattern, high waisted, cotton-rich and not too dressy, as I can not wear it at work. It also needs to be quite affordable, for the same reason. I have decided that from this year on I can only buy 2-3 items per season that I can not wear at work, and the skirt will be one of them.
I also got to wear one of my new pairs of spring shoes, an Okala-esque baby-wedges, for the first time and I am very pleased as they are very comfy. The real Okalas are again too dressy for work but I really like them, so I am trying to figure out if they would get enough wear outside of work to justify making them one of the said 2-3 items.
Pleated full skirt: Club Monaco, faded cropped denim jacket: AE, super thin black merino sweater:Gap, baby wedges: Kelsi Dagger.
