This morning, I just had a feeling that I wanted to wear green. And I had worn my emerald sweater on Monday, I felt like it might be a bit too soon to wear it again. So I wore my emerald jacket this morning. I was going to wear my black python belt, but when i noticed that all of jewelry was either silver or white gold, I decided to go for the silver belt.

I'm not sure this jacket is best cut to wear with a dress. What do you think? What's your opinion on the silver belt as well? I'm not really sure how I feel about it in this outfit.

I can't see the belt very well. However, I think the jacket might overwhelm the dress and be too long, but with a belt does help. We'll see what others think.

I do think the jacket length would suit itself better to wearing with pants. However, I like the color combination and the way that the silver belt breaks up the black of the dress.

I love that jacket on you! It's great. And I actually don't mind the length at all here. I think the narrow skirt makes it okay. Plus, your hair is looking extra- adorable.

Thanks columbine, Laura and Suz. I'm glad to know that the belt works. I think I may need to start looking for a few thicker belts as well. I belt the jacket may work well with my black cropped pants.

As another lady with pixie hair, how do you get yours to stay styled Suz? I'd like to avoid hairspray. It doesn't always do well with asthma. What would you suggest?

Hey, you remembered your belt (which I like) I like this, but am not totally sure about the jacket length. I'd like to see some different views. Also, my husband always tells me that things look different with movement.

The column of colour makes the jacket length work well. You look fab.

I think the jacket works well. The dress has both the column of color and the sleeker lines which make the longer jacket work.

I also,like the silver belt, but I am a magpie at heart! Still in awe of the space boots another fabber posted

I have some hair suggestions! Is your hair thick or fine? I use hair paste (and I actually love the kind they sell at CVS, which is very cheap) but my hair is quite thick and has some fierce curl to it. I suspect hair paste, even in a very small dollop, might overwhelm finer hair.

A light pomade might do the trick for finer hair though. Just a little bit of hold, but it goes a long way as far as body is concerned.

I know Marmee! I've put a note on my bathroom mirror that says BELT. It helped.

Thanks Angie and Thistle. Within the past few months, I've developed a bit of a magpie streak. I don't know why, but now I love having a bit of shine or sparkle in what I wear.

Thanks Adorkable. I may have some texture paste laying around somewhere. My hair is a bit more on fine side and it likes to lay flat. Like really flat. I think I'll play around with a dab and see how it works out. Worse thing that can happen is I have to rewash my hair, right?

K: your hair is longer than mine, but anyway ... I use a tiny dab. We're talking dime-sized or less. Go for it, though - it's water soluble, so it comes out easily. I want to see results!
