I have had this Gap navy tweed moto jacket jacket for couple of years, but it didn't get much wear; so today's ensemble idea was a perfect way to fix it.
I really wanted to wear this with my new Loft white kick flare jeans, but I am waiting for the curvy fit to compare so didn't want to cut the tags just yet. Instead, I went for my old J Brand white BF jeans, Peter Plotto for Target patterned tee, and accessories in the silver/slight grey family: silver Express studded belt, silver SE oxfords, grey studded RM tote, grey MJ sunglasses and silver MJ watch.
For your amusement, I am attaching of a photo of the beautiful J crew tweed jacket on me. I loved the jacket on the hanger and loathed it on me - couldn't take it off fast enough. The fact that I was wearing pearls that day did not help the matter. I know to stay away from boxy collarless jackets but still gave this one a chance. I would like another tweed jacket for this spring, either cream or black&white, and it seams that I am limited to moto styles, as collarless and moto versions seem most common. I have spied an interesting cream moto version on the J Crew site that I hope to check out next (attached in Finds).
