We've had an exciting couple of days -- after assuming for months that our flight to Tokyo leaves just after midnight Wednesday night, we double-checked on Monday and realized it leaves just after noon on Wednesday during the day! Which meant we had to leave the house at 8:00 a.m. this morning instead of 9 p.m. tonight. So there has been a lot of scrambling because we basically lost a day of getting-ready time!
Fortunately I have had my travel uniform laid out for days now: Navy fleece-lined yoga pants, striped long sleeve tee that is actually a rash guard, navy travel blazer, Hermes scarf for a little fanciness, sneakers, and puffer coat because it's going to be cold when we get there. And my trusty travel purse: a navy Baggallini with a million pockets.
Anyway, we survived and although the drive to the airport took almost two hours (to go 40 miles), we breezed through security and are now sitting in the lounge waiting for our flight time. Yay! See you all on the other side!
