WIW 3/1: Northern Lights and Polar Bear

Which of these 4 purses do you like best with this outfit? Just curious!

This necklace and bracelet are called Northern Lights, and the skirt also reminds me of Northern Lights. It's still a little cold in the morning so this short sleeve sweater seems perfect for Bay Area early spring. And what better bag to go with the Northern Lights theme than a cute fuzzy polar bear? I had several Kate Spade bags in my online shopping cart and I asked DD and DS which one they liked best and they both agreed this one was the best. I can tell it's going to be a fight between me and my kids who gets to carry this purse! It's so soft, I can't stop petting it. It's like carrying a stuffed animal around with me. So when it happened to go on sale, I jumped! So much cuteness. It even has a fish as the zipper pull and a furry tail on the back. And I bought the matching keychain, with a polar bear on an ice floe. But...true confession, this bag didn't arrive until after I got home. And it's a little small to be practical for work. So I still am going to wear this again another day. (There's another clutch in the finds that's totally adorable too--see through resin to look like ice, with a polar bear on top!)

I actually wore the tote in 5-7 to the hospital this morning...wasn't quite happy with the bag choice (wasn't sure if it went with the outfit), but I thought I had already used this silver satchel this month. Turns out I hadn't, so I took some pics with the silver satchel too. And a sneak peek of one of my new purses for this year. DH had said I could buy another Chanel this year (my first one was three years ago). I'm really excited about using this in outfits. But I can't carry this teeny Chanel around with me on rounds at the hospital, so this will have to wait for another day! I'll tell you more about it next time!

Love the outfit, and accessories, to it. The polar bear is fun, but I will be honest and tell you I find it a bit small and...oh well.. also a bit juvenile for you, except if using for some very intentional special occasions:-). All others would work, I love the nr. 9, and wows for the new Chanel, of course, beautiful metallics and will go with everything!!!!: -).

ETA: forgot to say the polar bear clutch is gorgeous, too!:-)

The polar bear is incredibly cute. However cute it is, I have to agree with Lyn67. It fits your style when you are out on weekends with your kids. I can't see you wearing it professionally.

You asked what bag we liked most with the outfit. I was immediately going to say the tote (because I am drawn to them right now), but after reviewing the pictures several times, I decided that the Chanel bag is the best. The Chanel makes a statement, but allows the viewer to see the entire ensemble. When I look at you carrying the tote, I see the tote and then have to force my eye to the rest of your ensemble. I hope this make sense.

Are we going to see more of the orange bag?

Okay, I am in love with the keychain. I admit, not knowing you, I was thrown by the idea of the furry polar bear purse and rounds. I don't know what kind of doctor you are. It might be a cute icebreaker if you have pediatric patients, but otherwise, no, I'm afraid. Unfortunately, fair or not, I would have a hard time taking you seriously if I was your patient.
Otherwise, I like your outfit, and all the other three bags. The Chanel looks like it was made for it, the satchel looks good and is so practical for when you need to "tote" a lot of stuff (sorry for the pun), and I love the clutch. To me the clutch is the sophisticated, adult version of the furry purse.

Now I'm feeling like I need that clutch - the perfect accessory for my climate, right? Is the size practical?

Alaskagirl, you definitely need the whole Kate Spade polar bear collection! That clutch would be perfect for you! They also have polar bear phone cases, scarves, jewelry, and did you see the Klondike bar purse? LOL! And an ice cube scarf. Cute stuff!

I don't have the clutch yet (it's on the way!) but I don't consider clutches to be a practical size at all for my lifestyle since I'm always schlepping work and/or kid gear around. So this is purely for fun.

Sterling, you'll definitely see the orange bag. I'm just waiting till I get off call so I can wear heels and not worry about hospital germs getting on my nicer bags.

Glad you guys like the polar bear bag! I agree it is maybe a bit too cutesy for work, but I really like it. I usually don't have my bag with me when I see patients in the office, but in the hospital I do carry purses with me since I don't have an office or locker in the hospital. I used to collect Paul Frank purses before I had kids and I still like them, but it is harder to wear novelty bags at work esp. since people think I look young as it is. Kate Spade really seems to have me dialed in though! I wasn't supposed to be buying any more bags, but when the heart and polar bear bags went on sale I couldn't resist! Yes I saw the red car one Una, and I was so tempted, but since it wasn't on sale I'm going to stalk it and see if it goes on sale later.

Well, someone must have bought it because it's gone at Macy's now. Oh, well! I saw an article that this is all based on someone's trip to Alaska which is even cooler (pun intended!).

Oh shoot! Maybe you can call the Kate Spade stores or Macy's to see if they have any still in stock in the stores? If not you can come visit and borrow mine!
