I've been trying to find the time to write this post all day! We're leaving tomorrow to visit family and won't be back til mid next week. I don't anticipate taking any WIWs while I'm away, but I'll be operating with a very small capsule, all out of my 30x30 -- except for a hiking/running outfit and my swimsuit. I still haven't packed, so haven't settled on which pieces I'm bringing. Still have to check the weather, but it looks like it will be cool and stormy, as it has been here all week.
Anyway, here are five outfits from this week:
Monday -- Probably my favourite of the bunch, and the most casual (go figure). I'm getting a Picasso vibe out of this one, no? Really, this $10 Uniqlo breton is such a workhorse -- perfect shape, length, colour. Shorts are cut-off Levis -- the jeans belonged to DH when he was much younger. I also wore my sunhat, but forgot it for the photo.
Tuesday -- I don't think this outfit photographs well at all, but I got a compliment from DH when he got home, so maybe IRL I don't look like a big black blob. It was cold today, and I was at home all day -- I literally didn't put on shoes, except for running shoes in the morning and evening.
Wednesday -- straightforward outfit for toddler music class and grocery shopping. I *love* these chinos, and I'm glad we're getting some days cool enough to wear them.
Thursday -- Spent the whole morning at the auto mechanic -- took twice as long as expected since they were understaffed (for a memorial service, so I can't really complain). Cold rainy day, same pants as yesterday.
Friday -- I'm not super satisfied with this one, but really felt like wearing my slouchy silk pants! I think the white tee is the weak link. I need a white tee that is more cropped and more structured, but haven't found it yet. (I have this one knotted in the backbecause it looked too sloppy with a semi-tuck, but I dislike doing that with t-shirts; feel like it wears them out more quickly.) Was too humid for the jacket, even though it's linen, by the afternoon.
