Week #2 of the 30X30 project:
Pic #1 -- Saturday. At home and then out for a casual lunch out. Same navy tank, but I swapped the pants and shoes. I felt good in both outfits.
Pic#2 -- Sunday. I *thought* I liked this outfit until I saw the photos. I recently downsized the jeans (and they do stretch out nearly a full size when wearing) but this photo shows that they are not as boyfriend-y as I would like. I'm not sure that better fit alone would fix this outfit, though. Hhrrrmmm.
Pic#3 -- Monday. At home, and then I dressed up to go to the mall--I felt kinda fussy but I'd wanted to use the loafers to coordinate with the purse.
Pic #4 -- Tuesday. I tried several times to dress-up the simple black tee-shirt dress. For a moment, I thought I'd settle on the white web belt, loosely belted, but I felt more comfortable without. I also tried a light colored scarf at the neck and, separately, an off-white silk pocket square folded flat and knotted at the wrist. It's been difficult to find a way to accessorize without feeling too fussy. Advise and suggestions are welcome. I graded this outfit a fail.
Pics #5/6 -- Wednesday. The weather cooled down again, so the jacket came back out. I tried the striped knapsack (not part of the 30X30) to see if it would spice-up the outfit. Later on, I received the navy Land's End bag I'd ordered. I decided to keep it, but with misgivings--it doesn't feel like *me* and I'm not sure if that is because it isn't or because it's just a little outside my comfort zone. It wasn't too expensive, so I decided to keep it and see. Comments welcome. I didn't wear it because it wasn't technically part of the 30X30--I just stuck my phone in my back pocket, which is what I usually do.
Pic #7 -- Thursday. Another casual day at home. I felt good in this outfit.
Pic #8 -- Friday. The same pants, remixed. And the Crocs came back. I felt comfortable in this outfit, too.
(Angie--I did almost fall over when you wrote that you liked the Crocs )
