It is just fortunate that we do not all live in the same town, at least as far as lemmingitis is concerned! We had a staff holiday party Saturday for the road racing track day company that we 'work' for in our 'off' time. Appropriately, it took place in my local Triumph dealership where I bought my bike, so an outfit with edge was a prerequisite. I started my ensemble build with the Classiques long jacket that Janet also has. Mine was altered in length to fit my 5'2" frame. I was sure I wanted to wear my leather-front EF leggings, so a tunic-length top was required. I decided on a casual top, otherwise known as a Triumph tee shirt, in a thin waffle knit, raglan sleeve and slit v-neck with round hem. After trying on myriad black boots/booties to handle the sideways rain I was likely to have to walk in, I settled on my fave Choo pointy-toe, buckle booties. I reproduced a magenta gradient smoky eye from one of my favorite eye bloggers, which was bold enough with my specs to require a nude lip. Nails were Zoya Blaze, a festive candy apple red with holographic microglitter. The whole ensemble felt very 'me' and humorously, I 'won' a skunk spirit hood in our white elephant gift exchange that accessorized the outfit to a T. In order to embrace the spirit of silliness, I had a pic snapped of myself wearing the hood astride a big chopper with 'ape hanger' handlebars...which is the opposite of my bike. All in all, a fun evening. I'm sure that it's almost as bad an idea to drink and celebrate in a motorcycle shop (for me) as it is to do so in Nordstroms. Luckily there were no shop staff to write up sales that late! Hope you all are having fab festivities this holiday season!
