WIW 2/9: What I ended up wearing for Girls Night Out

I was all set to go out last night in my mixed-plaid outfit, and then my friend called and said she wanted to dress up a little and wear high heels. So I had to find a different outfit in a hurry! I have been thinking about trying to be more open to, uh, meeting people when I am out and about,, so I decided to go pretty much Full Cougar with leopard on top and leopard on the bottom! Didn't end up talking to any strangers but did have a great time catching up with a girlfriend I hadn't seem for a while!

So... Give it to me straight: Do you think this is over the top? I want to be as attractive as reasonably possible, but I don't want to be a caricature of the "older woman on the prowl." What do you think?

I love animal print and as a fair skinned light haired woman in her forties, mine are always brown toned too.

I like your outfit, but maybe one animal item at a time ? (I hope I didn't hurt your feelings)

When I was shopping with my 17 yr old DD, she said just yesterday 'step away from the animal print mum'

I think you look fun, classy and beautiful Not OTT at all.... the matching leopard pattern on the shoes is subtle and the eye-catching pretty ankle straps are very modern....

What Cougar? I see a Fox masquerading as a kitty (pffffssst!). Love this outfit and your animal print and those shoes! Classy and sexy -- what's wrong with that? Hang it in the Foxy Mary section of your closet and next time you go prowling for stud -- excuse me -- 'strangers,' you'll have a test-driven outfit at your ready.

Unless you are second guessing your choice. I hate being out and about feeling unsure of my outfit. All I would say is trust your gut. Wear things that support your radiant self-confidence and, as ever, you are good to go. YLF!

At first I thought the shoes with the top were too much, but I actually kinda dig it. Also, I want those shoes. Meow!

I don't think it's OTT! I think it's such a small amount of the shoe that is animal print that it totally works. If it were a full bootie it might tip over into a bit much, but I really like this. Keep on rocking it, pretty lady!

I actually felt good in this outfit. I hesitated to wear the leopard shoes with the leopard top -- I didn't like the idea of it. But I ended up liking it better than any of the alternatives so I thought "what the heck?" LOL I think (hope) the black ankle straps saved it from being too much.

I honestly think it didn't photograph as well as it looked in person. But I also get it's certainly cougariffic and I don't know that I'll be repeating it, even though I enjoyed it for the occasion.

I know you work hard for your amazing physique, and it's deserving of being showcased.
I love those shoes, but I think it'd work better with a different top.

Oh I love this! I think the animal print top looks fantastic with the shoes. The shoes aren't all animal print, just a little bit, and it's just the right amount. Perfect! Those shoes are divine.
