WIW 2/9 to ingest snake oil

I got talked into a EFT session. After doing some research it seems like snake oil.

Luckily I only got one introductory session.
Wearing black Equipment knock-off shirt from Costco, gold studded belt, R13 harem jeans, Isabel Marant booties and Mary Katrantzou scarf. Better detail of the scarf here:

Good grief Anna - this is a great outfit! One of my favorites! That scarf is beautiful - and I STILL want those jeans! EFT, huh? I've done some of that with my therapist buddies - we all experiment and try things on each other - I say if it works its great! (It seemed to work for me!)

Love the outfit! Snake oil LOL. And I thought EFT was electronic funds transfer. I like the kind of therapy where you take a hike in the mountains. Or get on a horse. Or strap on a board/skis.

Wow, you aviator jacket is amazing. I've been eyeing those for several seasons, do you think it's a good fashion investment?

I had to click the link as when you said EFT, my first thought was Electronic Funds Trasnfer. Gotta get work off the brain!

One session and you can tell us what you think. Sounds liek snake oil to me, too, but I know things like massage have excellent health benefits, so who knows?

I don't know much about EFT but there do seem to be a lot of snake oil merchants who use it. Google Gary Craig - he has done some amazing work, using EFT, with people who have phobias & with veterans who have PTS.

Well I got a bonus astrology reading too. There is some variant on astrology which also takes into account your birth year. Not only am I a Virgo, I'm also Capricorn North Node. Supposedly I need to be less motherly and more fatherly.
The session was mostly repeated tapping on yourself at various points while repeating mantras and things you need to work on. I used to do yoga so I get mantras. I also believe that acupuncture can do real good. I just don't don't think this works, at least for me. Plus I got a bit peeved when we were tapping on both sides of our lower rib cage and saying it was spleen point. You only have one spleen and it's on the left.

ETA Denise I like my shearling aviator for days like today. I couldn't wear a sweater but I wanted to be warm.

Regarding alternative medicine, I think a lot has to do with the relationship between the patient and practitioner. Regarding your outfit, I love it!

I had to chuckle at the EFT as well - oh well, at least you can say you've tried it. Sounds like if nothing else that it makes for a great story!

I particularly love the colors (or rather various neutrals) in your outfit. The booties and the jacket are stunning. You look great!
