WIW 2/5: Leather and tweed

I had a little bit of a hard time putting together an outfit this morning. I wanted to wear my leather skirt but none of my tops were cooperating. Finally I got the idea to wear this pleather-trimmed jacket, and the "bee" blouse joined the party, and I think it turned out okay!

Leather pencil skirt: Halogen
Silk blouse: Emerson Made
Studded belt: Streets Ahead
Tweed jacket: Banana Republic
Nude Pumps: Target
Quilted clutch: Topshop

I can already tell this black clutch is going to be a wardrobe workhorse! Yay!!

I have a clutch question - how do you fit stuff into a flat structured clutch? I love this look but with my phone, wallet, and other sundries I can't see how it would work! Or do you pare down?

Una, this clutch is awesome because it's not structured -- there's a little "give." And I pare down. Today I have wallet (which is farily big), checkbook, hairbrush, business card case, lipstick, iPhone, keys (lots of keys), pen, and sunglasses, and it all fits pretty well. The Nine West clutch we both bought at Shoptoberfest is a little too small/stiff for me, so since then I've looked for bigger and more forgiving versions.

I ordered that clutch too! It's just a smidge small for me to fit my necessities (eyeglass case is the kicker), but I'm going to give it a shot before I return it. The DKNY one I was looking at became unavailable before I could order it, boo.

The 9 West is too restrictive for me also. I do have my new convertible bag which just fits what I need for a clutch related event.

Love this MK - jacket is great referencing the skirt but not too much leather. brilliant with nude pumps because it keeps the eye up on you and your legs are a mile long. Great clutch, love the blouse and belt!! Totall fab!!
