First, a thumbs up for all pencil+casual tops WIW that popped around in the last hour here. Awesome style from @Suz is a given, but I was particularly happy to see and hear from ManidipaM (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....daily-drab). I enjoy reading those rock-my-world fashion stories, specially when they come with pics as bonus.

I am commenting here and not on the individual posts because I am running late, writing fron my phone (and not from within the app) and because it is also an "overall satisfaction" with YLFabbers quick response to Angie's ensembles.

Now to my WIW, 24 degrees Celsius, sunshine/intermitent clouds for a long day: work in a casual/artsy-fartsy office, followed by late lunch-date and drinks with friends after 20h. I am not coming home and I have black stockings (20) on my bag.

Question is: I wouldn't dress the stockings due the temperature, but is this outfit without stockings too much for an office setting? As I said it's Friday and it is an artsy-fartsy media agency...I will be there for half a day only.

50 is too heavy for Summer. Take it with a grain salt, thick hose in Summer is my pet peeve.

Totally okay for a casual/ artsy office. For sure! I love it without the stockings best. But if you need them later, the lighter ones, I'd say.

There is a big Kandinsky show at the Guggenheim right now, I believe...just in case you can teleport yourself over there....

ETA: I am blushing at the compliments. Totally undeserved. But isn't it fun the way we all pick up on Angie's cues?

Gorgeous outfit. I like it sans stockings but I would go with the 20 denier if you wore them.

The proportions and fits are perfect, and the elements of both sophisticated and playful. I love this outfit on you.
I prefer without stockings. If you wear them, I'd go 20 denier.

I think bare legs look great here! If any stockings the 20 are more summery than the 50 for sure.

I really really love this outfit! I wish I could answer about stockings. My favorite is no stockings - but I don't know how conservative your office is under the 'artsy-fartsy'. I say bring the 20's, and if anyone says there is a problem with bare legs, step into the ladies' room and put them on.

I think this outfit with bare legs are great for evening as well. I don't know how much people dress up where you are, but believe it or not, you would have been one of the dressier ladies at the restaurant/clubs I went to last night, here in ATL.

Bare legs! But bring the 20s in case you need them. I think it looks fine though.

I say bare legs. The lighter stocking reads 'sexy' to me.

Sans stockings it was! I didn't get any head turns in the office - it was totally OK - and I had fun at night. But next time I must remember to wear some Compeed on my shoes... I have an annoying, hurtful scratch on the inside of my heel. (I didn't feel it yesterday - yeay! - but it's not great today. Today I'm on flip flops...)

@Lantana: I am a sucker for expressionists, but somehow Kandinsky abstract works appeal to me. I can't explain why, if it's due the colors or the thin, intercrossing lines... I like it. It's a poster, obviously, but it's the first thing I see in the morning too.

And I feel tempted to teleport myself to see the expo @Suz! Don't blush: it's all true. I aspire to one day be able to pull off outfits so classy and so well put together as you and @Deborah do. (And with pants! I still feel frumpy on most of my pants...) I like other styles too... but they are either not what I feel it's me (@lynn's style, for example, which I find super sweet and gorgeous, but too feminine for myself. Plus I lack her courage to do pattern-mixing) or doesn't fit my weather/lifestyle.

@La Belle Demimondaine: Thanks for the outfit compliment! I am usually overdressed for clubs around here too. The places playing the type of music I like are very laid-back and I often encounter girls on jeans - or leggings - and low-cut All Star Converses. But I am never comfortable wearing leggings (that's my fashion pet peeve: leggings as pants!) and, specially if I am going out at night, I do like to dress up a bit.

Yesterday, though, I went to this Cafe Leopold. They are a regular old viennese cafe. On the weekends, they also open their cellar (which was covered in a type of marmor/stone and is even colder than a regular brick-covered cellar! But it looks quite industrial/modern and cool) and DJs play there. They don't ever play stuff I like, but sometimes some of their hip-hop is still manageable. The crowd is a bit older and because of the cafe area upstairs, quite traditional and luxurious decorated, people dress better. So... ATM my going out in Vienna is either listening to good music (IMO) among teens and being overdressed or listening to bad music among 30-something peers. Hehehe.

@Diane G: Thanks! Did you change your hair color on your last visit to the hairdresser? It seems lighter now on the profile pic. I like your new cut; I had the same razor cut, a tad shorter, before it grew into the mess it is now... I still hv to figure out what cut/lenght I want next.

@Deb: I have the same feeling about any 20 stockings. They ready "sexy". Luckily sans stockings was OK and I got the best of both worlds: no sweat and no extra sex appeal. The red shoes added already enough on this category in this outfit, right?
