I had a few days where I didn’t leave the house this week so fewer outfits were worn.
I have quite a strict demarcation between clothes I wear at home and what I wear out of the house. I feel like it developed from wearing a school uniform and when we got home, we would always take them off and put on farm clothes. I still do exactly the same when I get home from work! Conversely I don’t really wear the clothes I wear at home out of the house and try to only wear gear when exercising.
How about you?
#1 We met some friends for lunch and I felt really good in this, a mix of dressy and casual. It would have been easy for me to relegate this dress to my evening wardrobe but wearing it this way feels like it will get a lot more opportunities to be worn.
#2 A rare situation where I quickly popped to the supermarket in my lululemon tights before I went for a walk with my friend (put sports shoes on for a hard hill walk!). I’ve repurposed a few older merino pieces into toppers for walking and the gym and they feel more me than a typical gear item.
#3 This dress is a bit outside my standard colourway but really like it with the tan loafers and it also works in winter with black boots.
#4 & #5 I have a dress in this pattern as well and this is one of my comfort outfits when I’m feeling a bit blah for work. Some subtle pattern mixing with a checked blazer over-top although it then just sits on the back of my chair all day.
#6 & #7 I wore the topper all day which actually makes this dress a completely different outfit really. I tried on all my possible black toppers (navy didn’t look right) and decided that I didn’t mind this one as I really wanted to wear the dress. As Sharan suggested on last weeks post I may need to look for some short jackets, any suggestions are appreciated.
We are heading away today for 5 days so not sure whether I will be able to get photos for next week, might have to ask DH to snap a few for me.
