Calling this a copycat would be overstating things, I think, but I was definitely inspired by the windowpane pants and the color combination of this fab Philip LIm look from Fashion week. Note that I am wearing a much-lower-than-usual heel and I actually really like the look with the cropped pants!
Windowpane cropped pants: Banana Republic
Long sleeved tee: Merona
Tan corduroy blazer: Amber Sun
Black pumps: Merona
Colorblock tote: Vince Camuto
Studded belt: Streets Ahead
You can't see it very well in the photo, but the tee is black-and-gray striped, so that's my homage to the pattern-on-pattern in the original look.
You like? Any suggestions for improvement? (BTW, Angie -- every time I put on these pants, I say to myself, "If you're going to show your ankles, SHOW your ankles!" )
