I'm retired now but I actually worked for pay this week, acting as an arbitrator in a personal injury case. It was super fun and I hope I get to do more of that kind of work. The first day I wore an old navy dress with a new brown/gray/blue/silver tweed jacket with some sparkles. Second day I wore a new-this-year brown pleather skirt with newish shirt, old sweater and jacket, 9 year old Burberry tote, and VERY ANCIENT Frye boots. I felt like both outfits were appropriate and also pretty comfortable for a day of sitting.
My main takeaway, though? I can't believe I used to drive to and from Downtown Los Angeles every day for 20 years!!
